Best Catfish in Middle Tennessee!

Posted by st8of10ec on 2/29/2008

The Catfish Kitchen located on Hwy.70 between Dickson & White Bluff,Tn. is the the destination for all true catfish lovers in Middle Tn.While I don't know exactly how long they have been in operation,my first trip was around age 16,I hate to say I'm now 50 so they must be doing something right. The all you can eat Catfish Buffett is the house specialty, served with white beans & chow chow, hush puppies, mayonaisse or vinegar cole slaw,& the best homestyle french fries you will ever eat .It's worth every penny & every mile you drive to get there. But if your feeling really adventurous try the all you can eat Spicy Catfish Fillet. The fillets have a crispy, spicy(with a bite) crust,& a clean tasting, tender fillet. It's Catfish heaven for those bold enough to try it!On Tues. & Thurs. nights they serve an all you can eat quail night, which while adequate will never replace the Catfish. They also serve seafood, frog legs, steaks & burgers, but if you don't go for the catfish your cheating yourself out of a true southern dining expereince!

Great Catfish at a good old fashion catfish house.

Went there for the catfish. Fried spicy hot or regular. Hot is more Cajun than hot. Catfish comes with hush puppies, fresh cut french fries, mayonnaise or vinegar cole slaw and white beans. Fish was very good. They do all you can eat quail on Tuesday and Wednesdy which I would imagine would also be great. If you are in the area, this is one worth checking out.
